Beyond the Basics: The Fundamentals of Title and Closing Workshops

5 CEs and 5 *CLEs up for grabs!

We gave you the “what’s” of title, now let us show you the “how’s”!

Registration is now open for our next dual seminar on November 6, 2018, Beyond the Basics: The Fundamentals of Title and Closing Workshops, where you will have the opportunity to choose your next adventure…

To begin our day, we have a special bonus - an ethics session presented by 2018 Indiana Land Title Underwriter Chair Beth Beech (Stewart Title Guaranty – Indiana)!

NOTE: If you would like to register for the ethics session only,

You can then choose between the Title and the Closing workshop. See details below.

Title Workshop:
Learn how to examine search products for commitment preparation.   This course is designed for the title professional who will take a completed search and determine what will apply to the title commitment.  If you are a searcher who is ready to take the next step, someone who just needs a refresher course, or a professional ready to learn something new - this course is for you.
Join our industry professionals Louann Lowring (Dominion Title Services), Elaine Frick (First American Title), Kathy Boren (Hamilton National Title), and Paula Richards (Enterprise Title) as they guide you through the ins and outs of the title examination process!

Closing Workshop:
From settlement statement preparation to closing table presentation, this course will cover it all.  Join our industry professionals Jackie Kelly (Stallard & Schuh, Inc.), Linda Givens (Title Center of Indiana, LLC), Angie Locascio (Security Title Services), and Amber Hutson (Enterprise Title) as they guide you through the basics of:
  • Settlement statement production for the different transaction types
  • Understanding the closing documents
  • How to have a productive and efficient experience at the closing table
Each workshop is designed to move away from theory and give you practice…you will not just hear and see, but actually, do!

But wait...there's more...

Discount Available!  Register for two and get $50 back.

Coming to an ILTA educational event is great…but it’s even greater if you come with a friend/colleague.  And now, you can save money by registering a second person from your office. Here’s how

Just complete a registration for yourself and at least one other person from your office.  (You can register more than that, but only one discount is available per company.)  Make your payment via credit card or choose to be invoiced and pay by check at your convenience.  Submit your registration by the deadline (November 1st.)  That’s all there is to it.

Once you and your friend/colleague arrive at the event, you’ll receive a check for $50.  It’s that simple.
*CLE credit pending approval; if approval is not granted, a full refund will be issued to those who wish to cancel.

What is ILTA?

A lot has changed in our industry, but our strong commitment to our members remains the same. Since its formation in 1907, the Indiana Land Title Association has worked to protect the land title industry in Indiana. Amid the changing regulations and the ups and downs of the market, ILTA has stood by its members to offer high-quality education, networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy. We stand for the highest principles of professionalism and consumer protection, advocating for the safe and efficient transfer of real property. A home is likely the largest investment any individual will make in his or her lifetime, and by ensuring accurate searches, promoting fair and professional closings, and supporting important insurance coverages, ILTA protects Indiana consumers' property rights.
