North Vernon Abstract, a local full-service title company, has been family-owned since its inception. The business was founded in 1969 by Larry's mother, Rosalie Day, and has continued to serve Jennings County and the surrounding communities with integrity and professionalism. Today, the company provides all aspects of closing and title services, carrying on a tradition that has guided generations of local families through the real estate process.

Larry has spent decades in the title industry, shaping both his company and the Indiana Land Title Association. He became President of the Association in 2003 after joining the Board of Governors in 1997.

Under his leadership, North Vernon Abstract has grown into a trusted, family-focused business, with his wife, Denise, and daughter, Heather Gadd, working alongside him.

The Indiana Land Title Association (ILTA) is the leading membership and advocacy organization for the state's land title industry. Founded in 1907, ILTA provides educational opportunities, networking, and advocacy support to help land title professionals succeed in a dynamic field. Its 196 members represent the full spectrum of the industry, including title insurance underwriting companies, attorneys, lenders, abstractors, surveyors, and other professionals who work within real estate and land title services.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is the association's highest recognition, honoring individuals whose commitment, leadership, and service have left a lasting impact on Indiana's title industry.

      What is ILTA?

A lot has changed in our industry, but our strong commitment to our members remains the same. Since its formation in 1907, the Indiana Land Title Association has worked to protect the land title industry in Indiana. Amid the changing regulations and the ups and downs of the market, ILTA has stood by its members to offer high-quality education, networking opportunities, and legislative advocacy. We stand for the highest principles of professionalism and consumer protection, advocating for the safe and efficient transfer of real property. A home is likely the largest investment any individual will make in his or her lifetime, and by ensuring accurate searches, promoting fair and professional closings, and supporting important insurance coverages, ILTA protects Indiana consumers' property rights.
